Placing trading orders in the cTrader platform is intuitive, simple and, thanks to the unique order types (Buy / Sell limit order), it can also protect the trader from unexpected volatility in the markets. For more information, watch our video.

There are several ways to place an order on the cTrader platform. You do not have to enter your pending orders such as Buy limit or Sell stop according to the position of your mouse cursor (as in the Metatrader 4 platform), but you can choose which order you want to enter and simply adjust its position by moving the graph.

However, the biggest advantage of cTrader is the possibility of automatically placing a trading order in the chart, where the platform itself finds out which order to choose. I don't have to worry about whether I want to place the limit or stop command in the chart. In the right panel, I can then change the order, modify the size of the stop loss and take profit.

Unlike MT4, the cTrader platform can place a Buy or Sell limit order that enters the market only in a predefined trading range, which protects the trader against unexpected volatility. With Stop and Stop limit orders, you can change the entry price to bid or ask price and set how many ticks from your level the price must make before the position will open. This will prevent unexpected gaps that could lead to an immediate stop loss. However, we definitely recommend that you try it first. You have the ideal opportunity to do so on a demo account.
