Air France stock performance

Air France (AIRF) has a market cap of 3.38 billion EUR and has been on the market since 1995.

The stock price of this aviation company has been turbulent in the first two decades of its life, where we could see gains (and also losses) of multiple hundreds of percent. However, in the last five years (before 2022), the price steadily declined to its all-time lows.

Even though the financials are better than last year, the price does not seem to be recovering, except for minor corrections. If you bought AIRF a year ago, you would be seeing loss of around 45%. At the time of writing (2022) the company had quite the sideways trend with a steady price range even with the Fed’s ultra-loose monetary policy and the global COVID-19 pandemic. Travel lockdowns caused turbulent times on the aviation stock market where multiple airlines had to close their business.

Air France’s stock has been hit hard in May as company-wide strikes sunk the price to less than half. The sideways trend continues.
